Wrapped and Refrigerated

  1. Wrap in damp paper towel
  2. Place in plastic bag or container
  3. Refrigerate
  4. Trim and use bottom portion; outer layers can be tough
Alternative another good method that's just different 1-2 weeks

Stems in Water

  1. Place stalk base in jar with an inch of water
  2. Refrigerate and change water every few days
  3. Use while still firm and fragrant
Freezing freezing method 4-6 months

Frozen

  1. Trim and slice or freeze whole stalks
  2. Place in freezer bag
  3. Use in curries, tea, or broths

Revival Tips

Dried or woody stalks can still be used for stock or tea; trim tough parts.
