Counter then Fridge

  1. Keep at room temperature until ripe
  2. Check ripeness daily Hachiya: must be jelly-soft. Fuyu: can be firm but sweet
  3. Once ripe, refrigerate

Paper Bag (Speed Ripening)

  1. Place in paper bag with apple or banana
  2. Fold bag closed, leave at room temp
  3. Check daily for ripeness
  4. Refrigerate once ripe
