The device is designed to work with Debbie Meyer GeniusVac Bags, which feature an air valve that the vacuum sealer's suction tip attaches to.

Simply place the vacuum sealer's suction tip onto the bag's air valve and press the button to vacuum seal. The bags feature a zip closure, which allows you to open the bag, remove only what you need, and then re-vacuum seal it. This makes them convenient for storing foods in portions and accessing them as needed without breaking the vacuum seal on the entire contents.
