Self-burping ferment caps with a one-way waterless valve that vents gas automatically during vegetable fermentation. One-piece airlock; no water, burping, or maintenance needed.
How It Works
Pickle Pipes replace the standard mason jar lid with a silicone cap that has a one-way valve. As vegetables ferment, CO2 builds up and escapes through the valve; outside air cannot enter, so mold and kahm yeast are less likely. No need to "burp" jars daily. Use with wide-mouth Ball or similar jars; pack vegetables under brine, add a fermentation weight if desired, and screw on the Pickle Pipe. Ferment at room temperature, then refrigerate when done.
