Refrigerated in Husks

  1. Keep in husks until ready to use
  2. Store in paper bag or perforated plastic bag
  3. Refrigerate
  4. Remove husk and rinse sticky coating when ready to use
  5. Keep away from ethylene producers
Freezing freezing method 6-12 months

Roasted and Frozen

  1. Remove husk, roast or blanch, cool, and pack in freezer bag
  2. Freeze
  3. Use in salsas, sauces, or cooked dishes

Revival Tips

Slightly soft tomatillos can still be used for salsas or sauces; trim any spoiled spots.
