Beeswax Wraps
Reusable beeswax-coated cotton wraps that mold to food and containers with hand warmth — a plastic wrap alternative
About
Reusable food wraps made from organic cotton infused with beeswax, organic jojoba oil, and tree resin. Sold individually or in mixed-size packs (small, medium, large). Replace plastic wrap for covering cut produce, cheese, bowls, and leftovers. A plant-based "vegan" version uses plant wax and tree resin instead of beeswax for households avoiding bee products.
How It Works
Each wrap is a square of cotton fabric coated with a blend of beeswax, jojoba oil, and tree resin. The coating is solid at room temperature but softens when warmed by your hands, letting you mold the wrap around the rim of a bowl, the cut face of a cheese wedge, or a piece of fruit. As the wrap cools back to room temperature it stiffens slightly and holds its shape, forming a self-adhering seal.
Wash with cool water and mild dish soap between uses — heat will melt the coating, so never put a wrap in the dishwasher, microwave, or near hot food. With regular care a wrap lasts roughly a year before the coating wears thin; at that point the wrap can be composted or used as a natural fire starter. Avoid using on raw meat.
