Produce Saver Bin with Filter

Refrigerator produce bin from OXO's current Produce Saver line, the successor to the GreenSaver produce keepers. An activated-carbon filter in the lid absorbs ethylene gas to slow ripening, while an elevated basket keeps produce out of any moisture that collects at the bottom and promotes airflow on all sides.

Fruits and vegetables release ethylene gas as they ripen, and trapped ethylene accelerates spoilage of everything stored nearby. The carbon filter in the lid traps and absorbs this gas, while the vented, elevated basket lifts produce away from condensation that would otherwise cause premature rot.

The bin is sized for refrigerator shelves and works well for ethylene-sensitive produce like leafy greens, broccoli, carrots, and berries. Filters need periodic replacement to stay effective.
