Produce Saver Crisper Drawer Insert

Two-pack of activated-carbon inserts designed to sit inside refrigerator crisper drawers. Each insert absorbs the ethylene gas that fruits and vegetables give off as they ripen, slowing spoilage of everything sharing the drawer without taking up meaningful storage space.

Ripening produce continuously emits ethylene gas, and in the enclosed space of a crisper drawer that gas concentrates and pushes nearby fruits and vegetables to over-ripen and spoil faster. The activated carbon in these inserts adsorbs ethylene from the surrounding air, keeping levels lower so produce ripens at its natural pace.

Unlike per-container solutions, a drawer insert treats the whole crisper at once. This is the same approach as the Bluapple and similar ethylene absorbers: a vented pod that sits in the drawer and holds a replaceable filter packet.
