Paper Towel Lined Container

  1. Do NOT wash until ready to eat preserves natural protective bloom
  2. Remove any crushed or moldy berries
  3. Place in single layer on shallow, paper-towel lined container or use original clamshell if it has holes
  4. Store uncovered or loosely covered in fridge
  5. Keep away from ethylene producers
Freezing freezing method 6-12 months

Frozen

  1. Wash and dry berries thoroughly
  2. Freeze in single layer on baking sheet until solid
  3. Transfer to freezer bags
  4. Best for smoothies, baking, or preserves
Long Term preservation methods like canning, dehydrating, pickling, fermenting 1-2 years

Preserves/Jam

  1. Cook berries with sugar and pectin
  2. Pack into sterilized jars
  3. Process using water bath canning
